Our second planting day has been successful. Around 40 native trees included kowhai were planted in addition to those planted last year under The Main Wall. Owen Dale (who's also a club member) represented DOC, who provided plants, bamboos and tools to dig the steep slopes of the South side.

Seven keen "gardeners" enjoyed the awesome weather and the company of the worms! Wye Creek looks slightly different and will have a new face within the years to come. Two water cans are available to hikers and climbers when the trees get thirsty! This environmental action undertaken by the Club is in conjunction with DOC Project Gold.

Hi folks! I've worked with Guillaume and Darren to improve the look and functionality of the club's website. Check it out! We've made great improvements to the design, the way that all the club events are shown, and particularly to the way you can post and look for partners. The website is now more closely integrated with facebook so that all of your lovely comments, likes, and great reviews about the climbing in the Wakatipu can shine on the club website with ease.

On a more personal note, I have really been loving hanging out and working with this club over the past 2 months. You guys are great, excited people with lots of rock and mountains to explore and hang out in. It's been a pleasure to put some work into a cool new website for you guys that will hopefully help to illustrate how amazing climbing is in the Wakatipu!
